    Peru Dog Culture

It is common to find many stray dogs throughout the streets in all of Peru. Unfortunately, many of the dogs suffer from abuse by owners, injuries from beatings or hit by cars, fights with other dogs, malnourishment, infected wounds and unattended illnesses. With the lack of funding from local government, city leaders, and general public, it makes it very difficult to pay for regular operating expenses.

Currently, due to operating near the city of Cusco, the local government is requiring Animal Care Soy Callejerito-Cusco to move the shelter after 8 years at their current location. Once again creating another large expense and inconvenience for the shelter.

We are working with the Peru Dog Shelter to create new methods of funding for their program. Click "Learn More" below to see how you can help.
